„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Józsefné Takács is proud for her U14s
In addition to the virus, reorganizations also made it difficult for them to prepare, but fortunately the young people responded well to the new situation.
Finally some matches awaited Ms. Gyöngyi Takácsné's youngsters after a long absence, as the championship was completely reorganized. The U14 coach told us:
- Unfortunately, due to Covid there was a large break, we didn't play since November. In the Erima league, several teams had problems with the virus, there was no way to postpone the missed games, the result would not have been realistic. Therefore, the Federation decided not to announce a final result this year, but of course it was important to organize as many matches as possible for this age group as well. We were really looking forward to playing matches in addition to the trainings. Last weekend we started our spring season in the university sports hall. We organized an Erima round, where we played with the teams of Dunavarsány and Bugyi SE. We are meeting new teams because the Erima championship, which started in the autumn, has been reorganized, the special championship has been abolished, and the teams have been reassigned into different regional competitions.
The coach emphasized that she was proud of hers, because even after so many omissions, they showed some real disciplin on the court and the girls were able to implement what was discussed during the trainings.
- On the first day, we played against two teams that were still competing in the regional championship in the fall. During these matches we had the opportunity to practice new technical and tactical tasks. We clearly won both clashes, the girls ran a lot, we could practice the exact execution of our chances. Although our defense was a bit sleepy that we needed to change in the upcoming matches, everyone tried very hard to make as few mistakes as possible. There was not much opportunity to rest, because the next match of the OSB was already waiting for us at home on Friday. It was a good and pacey game, the girls managed to play that match almost flawlessly. It was great to see that the movements and tactics discussed during the training sessions were shown by the youngsters on the court. I don’t want to higlight the performance of any individuals, I think it was real teamwork.
