„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Anita Bulath's return on a winning match
In the first half the team-play did not look well and yet being level with the opponent at halftime, the second part of the match was excellent. We gained a comfortable 11-goal victory at the end against Kecskemét.
After the home win against Kisvárda this time our first team travelled to Kecskemét to play against the hosts who were 12th on the league table before today's game. Judged just based on the league positions the players of László György could have been confident, but we knew that our current opponent has several experienced players and they already played some close games in the league. Yet it was safe to say, that we travel for both points.
Both teams started the match with several mistakes, especially in attack. Micijevic scored two and Szekerczés one which kept our team ahead of the locals (2-3). László György called a timeout right after 11 minutes to give a boost to his players. Luca Szekerczés hit the net one more time, but with some lost balls we assisted the team of Kecskemét to level the game (5-5). Oguntoye was brilliant at the the goal from the beginning, she came up with several saves. After one of them she realized that the home team's goal was empty and she did not miss from 35 meters. Yet again bad plays came and the opponent equalized once again and in the 24th mintute they got the lead. Monori and Kovács kept the team up until half time, when 11-11 was on the scoreboard.
A team with a stronger mentality arrived for the second 30 minutes, it was clearly visible. Both in attack and defence they found another gear. In the 38th min the opponent's coach asked for a break to give some useful instructions to theirs as Kohász was already leading 17-13. For a short period of time it seemed to help the hosts, but they could not come closer than 2 (16-18). A goalless seven minutes for Kecskemét finally decided the outcome of the match (16-23). The last minutes of the game were not too much exciting, but it brought some joy for the Kohász supporters; after missing out almost a year, our icon Anita Bulath returned to the court and shoved some decent passes which contributed to Kohász's 11 goal victory.
