„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
The squad for the new season is almost ready
Four players are leaving and however three new arrivals will definitely part of the sqad in the upcomig season at DKKA.
As the end of the current season is drawing near, more and more rumours, news take flight around the handball teams concerning the changes in the squad for the next year. So it is the case at the Academy as well. This time the management of the team decided to break the habit and announce the changes already before the very end of the season.
The leaving of our right back Anna Kovács is already known, but it is now sure that Anita Bulath and Viktória Oguntoye will continue in another team as well, while Dusmáta Takács has been offered a job in the Academy to work with youth players. It is now her choice whether or not she wants to take it. Among the arriving players DKKA supporters will meet several familiar names. After the ed of the loan period Kyra Csapó will return from Metz, France. Also 28-year-old Ildikó Erdősi, who spent her youth career in Dunaújváros and has 31 caps for the Hungarian national team, will re-join our Academy. She has been playing for Siófok KC for several years. Also we can welcome a new player in pivot position, 23-year-old Szederke Alexa Sirián switches the shirt of Debreceni VSC for the shirt of Dunaújvárosi Kohász. She has recently received an invitation to play in the national team as well.
Executive director of our Academy, István Szemenyei has commented the changes in the adult squad in the following way;
- Of course there is a story behind the case of each of the player who decided not to be part of next year's sqad, these are complex and compound things. It is true - and I really want to emphasize it - that we cannot and we do not want to challenge wealthier clubs. We thank all of them for their services, for their time with us and we wish them a lots of success to their future career. Several players have also extended their contract; Anita Cifra and Camila Micijevic will surely remain at DKKA. Kyra Csapó returns from Metz, Ildikó Erdősi from Siófok and we also cannot wait to see Szederke Sirián at Kohász. She is a young and very talented player. Not a coincidence that she already got a call up for the national squad as well.
Since Orsolya Monori got seriously injured and will be out also in the beginning of the next season and Anita Bulath decided to leave we need to find one more player who could strengthen our team in the inner positions. The deal is very close, as soon as negotiations end, hopefully we can announce one more player as well. Lots of articles has been released concerning salaries in the Hungarian handball league for domestic and international players, we want to hold ourselves to our principles, we do not want to get involved in no bidding contests as we would like to keep our stability. We try to give more and more opportunities to younger Hungarian players, for example Csenge Braun, Petra Mihály, Zsuzsanna Nagy are in the treshold to become full time members of the adult team. Beatrix Molnár, Katrin Klujber, Ramóna Vártok, Viktória Nick and Vivien Grosch are already strengthen our first team. Also we should not forget about our players who are currently on loan, for example Dóra Kemény or Theodóra Moutsogianni, we keep track of their development as well. There is a slight gap currently between the youth age group and the adults in the Hungarian league (NB1), this is a serious issue nowadays in Hungary therefore we are rotating the players and support their engagement in competitions in different levels as they are part of our long-term plan.
The changes concern not just the players' squad but we can welcome an old-new member in the management as well. Tibor Horváth, head of DKKA's office will leave after the season. His responsibilities will be taken over by other staff members. Vilmos Imre will return to our team and will be the new the club manager. He will be in charge to assist the professional work in Dunaújváros, he will keep in touch with the Hungarian Handball Association (MKSZ) and will assist finding the most talented players. We have a good grasp of his qualities, moreover another one returns home who has strong connections to Dunaújváros. This was also very important for us beside his experience and connections.
