„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Fradi won at the arena tonight
For 40 minutes we could keep up with the pace of Ferencváros, but then atowards the end the opponent could score easy goals.
The girls are playing with the two best teams of the league one after the other. Tonight we hosted Ferencváros and at the weekend Győr will visit our arena. The odds are not in our favor, but we wanted to make it hard for both of the teams.
We needed to wait for 5 minutes for the first goal that was scored by Ferenczy but FTC scored three goals in three minutes and turned the game. With some piece of nice defending we gained back the lead when Szekerczés scored a penalty (4-3). Unfortunately our lead did not last long, Ferencváros could improve and won several penalties. Kovacsics managed to score all of them, which resulted a timeout by György László. (5-8). Szalai brought Kohász closer to the opponent after which Elek Gábor also invited his players to the side of the court. The chance was there, Tomasevic showed brilliant saves, but in attack nothing worked, our girls committed several errors which was punished by the team of Budapest. Kovacsics, Malovic then Pena hit the net. In the 26th minute another home timeout was necessary (6-11). Although Molnár and Klujber scored for DKKA, but then we could not use our two-men-advantage. The half ended with a 13-8 away lead.
There was no debate about that we needed to improve in attack to get a closer game. Ferenczy and Sirián managed to put the ball to the net, yet FTC could increase their lead (10-17). Kazai and Szalai contributed with some nice goals to the game, but then FTC got another 2min suspension, which - just like in the first half - confused our attack. In the 45th minute Ferencváros got away by seven goals again, although Kohász duplicated their amount of goals compared to the first half. The last timeout was used by György László in the 47th minute as towards the end of the half our defending started to lack effort. It did not help at this stage, in the 53rd minute Pena's double meant a 10 goal lead for the visitors (20-30), and for the last minutes only the exact goal difference remained unpredictable. FTC won the last minutes as well against our side that committed several unforced errors in attack tonight.
