MTK could celebrate in Szekszárd
Lots of mistakes committed in attack cost us the game.
An impoortant match awaited us in Szekszárd as we hosted MTK who were behind us on the league table.
György László told before the game that defending could be key. We started the game well, as good defending lead to two scored goals on the other side. Two balls given away meant thath MTK equalized the score. Szekerczés got us back the lead, but thanks to further mistakes the opponent scored easy goals. György Lászlónak called a timeout in the 10th minute. We had problems with stopping Tóth Eszter, who scored her sixth goal in the 15th minute (5-8). Csapó could not contribute to the game, so Stojak replaced her. Another timeout was necessary as the difference did not seem to decline (6-11). It did not help much, MTK kept their lead until halftime.
A big improvement would have been necessary, yet the blue-whites managed to score twice in the beginning of the second half. The fate of the two points seemed to be decided already (10-17). Kohász did not give it up and scored three goals in a row, Stojak were brilliant in the goal (18-22). Coach Golovin invited his players to the sideline, but DKKA was unstoppable. Triscsuk and Kazai brought the home team closer, but mistakes in key moments cost us the game. Clear shots, 7m-throws were missed. 10 minutes before the final whistle MTK was leading by 5 again (21-26). They managed to keep this difference till the end of the match, and with their 32-27 victory, the Budapest team took over the 7th place on the league table.
