„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
The girls fought well!
Despite the efforts Ferencváros won the match at Elek Gyula Arena today afternoon.
Another extremely difficult clash awaited the adult team of our Academy in the K&H women's handball league, as they were the guests of Ferencváros. Considering the events of the last few days, the physical and mental condition of the team, only to play a decent game could be our goal at the meeting in the capital.
Which was started much better and stronger by the home team, and although Szalai had a respons to the opening goal from Bölk, the greem-whites scored five goals in a row, so after six minutes Attila Vágó had to call a timeout to help the team to give some useful instructions (6-1). Our long goalless period was broken by Anita Bulath, then Horváth and Szalai were successful, but the opponent from capital continued to play more accurately, so in the 17th minute the scoreboard showed a 12-4 home advantage.
Not for long as after twenty minutes we found another shift on the gauge and started scoring goals one after the other which resulted a a timeout from Gábor Elek (13-8). Kazai and Bulath executed a special volley perfectly, then Babovic saved brilliantly so 4 minutes before the half only three goals separated the teams. The final minutes were hectic and DKKA got two two-minute-suspensions after a questionable decision. 15-11 was the score at the end of the half.
The beginning of the second half did go better for FTC once again, they got away by 5 goals. Although Ferenczy and Szalai scored, FTC managed to increase their lead (20-13). Ours did not give it up for a second, they hardened their defending and showed some nice combinations in attack, and quickly halved their disadvantage (22-18). Janurik's saves and goals from Háfra and Kovács broke our moment. This time once again FTC had a decent period. (26-18). The final minutes decided only about the difference between the teams. Despite our gilrs fought well, Fradi gained a 30-21 win and kept the points home.
