„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
A wonderful win at home
DKKA hosted the team of Vác residing in the 3rd place on the league table before the match.
Based on this the odds were in the favour of the opponent, but Attilla Vágó hoped that with a good performance and optimized tactics we can play a nice game at home.
Fortunately, there was no complaint about determination and accuracy, as ours took the lead at the beginning of the clash, and although the Vác constantly equalized, after Szalai's hits Bulath, Horváth and Román also marked their names on the scoresheet (5-4). In the 11th minute, after Kazai's hit, the Kohász led by two for the first time. Vác's squad came back again, but thanks to Bulath and Román the difference grew to three (11-8). The guests tried, but the Academists grew above their guests in attack and defense and through Babovic in the goal. When Ferenczy got our 15th hit in the 26th minute, Zoltán Szilágyi needed to call a timeout for the second time (15-11). The guests broke their long period without goals, yet Bulath responded to this on the other side, so the teams marched to the break with a 16-12 home lead.
Nonetheless, a lot of attention had to be paid in the continuation as well. It seemed to be plenty of concentration left for the second half because Kazai further increased our advantage with a beautiful goal from volley (!). The guests came back for three goals during Barján's suspension, and although they had a chance to catch up higher, after Ferenczy's two hits, the opponent's coach invited his players for the third time to the sideline in the 40th minute (20-16). After the short break, the two minute suspensions of Ferenczy and then Szalai broke our momentum, and the away team was able to live with the advantages, they reduced their disadvantage to a minimum for the 46th minute (22-21). Attila Vágó immediately replied with a timeout. Ferenczy and Barján kept the lead for Kohász, but the guests did not want to stay behind either, so the last ten minutes promised very serious excitement (25-24).
Hlogyik, who came for the final ten minutes into our goal, started with a brilliant save, Nick scored from six, while Bulath fired one from the seven-meter line, so five minutes before the final whistle, DKKA led again by three, 27-24. In the 56th minute, Ferenczy Fruzsina got an immediate red card unfortunately, but ours kept their lead with the brave goals of Szalai and Bulath. Attila Vágó called a timeout a minute before the end, but by the time the outcome of the match was decided. Kohász won 30-27, and they deserved this based on what he saw!
