No miracle this time

Our team fought really well, but in the end the better team won, we suffered a 36-26 defeat in the home match against Győr.

The adult team of our academy continued the championship with the home match against Győr from six o'clock tonight. The guests had a clear chance to win today's meeting, and they started the way their supporters expected them to be, in the 6th minute the scoreboard showed a score of 2-5.

Bultah and Szalai tried to bring ours closer opponent and although the opponent got away by four, Szalai's and Weisheitel's strikes meant that only two goals separated the teams (7-9). Alexa Wéninger entered the match with excellent stops but our team could not benefit from her performance, because unfortunately there were a lot of mistakes in the attack on the home side, so ETO restored its previous advantage for the 25th minute (9-13). Before the end of the half Bulath's last second goal resulted that the teams marched to the dressing rooms while 12-17 stood on the scoreboard.

After the midfield change, Kohász started more encouragingly, scoring three goals in a short time, but there was no antidote to the attacks in Győr, so Attila Vágó had to call a timeout in the 35th minute (15-22). Unfortunately, the short break did not bring the expected improvement either, after each scored goals from the home side, Győr replied with two, in the 42nd minute the home coach had to interrupt the game again (17-27) .

With the help of Bartulovic's saves, another hit by Farkas and the help of our only sixteen-year-old player Kiss Csenge, who scored her very first NB I goal, Kohász got closer to its opponent and did not want to give up the fight (23-29 ). However, the stars of ETO were able to flash even when it did not go well for the team, Solberg saved well, Oftedal, Kristiansen and Nze-Minko also took the home goal, while in our game, unfortunately, there were a lot of mistakes committed by DKKA in the final stage of the game, so the Győr team they restored the previous difference between the two teams, and finally they took the points from the Sports Hall of Dunaújváros.
