„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Close defeat in the capital
The match of our academy's adult team against MTK was decided only in the final stages, unfortunately not in our favor.
League fights continued for us away, as guests of MTK, which team collected the same amout of points so far, like we did, Unfortunately we travelled to the capital with only 13 players, without the team members who had fallen ill this morning, but still faced the clash with confidence.
The determination was evident on our players, who started the game motivated, disciplined and efficient, with Szalai, Horváth, Kazai and Farkas scoring in the 5th minute to take a 4-1 lead. The momentum of our team faltered in the continuation, so the hosts started to catch up and evened the score in the 13th minute (7-7). However, this did not demotivate our team; Farkas' double and another goal by Kazai restored the difference between the two teams (7-10). Unfortunately, it took a matter of three minuters and the home team turned the game around with a 4-0 run and from then on it was the academy players who had to catch the opponent. The team fought hard, and although they equalized several times, MTK scored the last goal of the half, so the Budapest side went into the break with an 18-17 lead.
At the beginning of the second half, Pál scored a seven-metre goal to give the blue and white team a two-goal lead, but Szalai and Horváth scored to level the scores again in the 35th minute (19-19). The defenders and goalkeepers continued to play brilliantly, and the sides were unable to find the net for almost ten minutes, leaving the score unchanged until the middle of the half. Unfortunately, MTK broke the long scoreless silence, but our handball players had an answer to that, too, and Farkas and Nick scored to get back into the game, so that even in the 54th minute it was impossible to predict who would be happy at the end (24-24). However, our team were more nervous in the final period, and the home side took the lead and they got away with 3 goals. They could then hold on to their minimal lead until the final whistle to take the league points with a 31-28 victory. However, our team should also be praised, as their game - especially in attack - has improved a lot since the last home game, and we saw more good solutions from our team.
MTK - DKKA 31-28 (18-17)
DKKA goalscorers: Farkas 6, Horváth 4, Szalai 4, Arany 4, Poczetnyik 3, Kazai 3, Nick 2, Fodor 1, Gajdos 1. Head coach: Rapatyi Tamás

2017. Nov. 19.Our photo crew has been trying to do their best to immortalize the best moments of DKKA's home games. This time they got a nice present for their persistent work, they could attend to the weekend match of men's handball team, Pick Szeged against the spanish record champion, Barcelona. Of course they needed to watch the game through the objective. The guests of Dunaújváros were nice guests at least they brought some luck, as the home team could defeat the Spaniards for the first time ever since 2008, and this means, they are still in a good position in the group 'A' of EHF Champions League.
