„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Another important win
Leading amost all the way through, after some real excitement we gained a three-goal victory at home against our rival, Kisvárda.
Only one point divided the two teams on the league table before the match, so supporters could expect a close match. Despite remaining goalless in the first four minutes we quickly turned the game for the 6th minute (3-2). The opponent had an answer to that and to Horváth's hit, but between the 9th and 15th minute DKKA shifted the pace and thanks to some nice attacks and the saves from Oguntoye we stepped away from our opponent (10-4).
Two timeouts came from the opponent within a short period of time, and the second one at least could stop our moment. In the final part of the half our girls had an unexpected breakdown that was punished by the opponent with a 5-0 run (12-11). Bouti scored 15 seconds before the half breaking our goalless period, and after a turnover from Kisvárda Moreno scored in the very last second, yet the game was far from being over (14-11).
The difference between the teams did not change largely, sometime we could increase the goal difference, other times the opponent managed to come closer, but DKKA kept their the 2-4 goal lead. In the 41st minute we led by 5 again, but the opponent did not want to stay behind, somehow they always managed to come a little closer (27-23). Just like at the same time in the first half another bad period occured out of the blue, and KKC used this, as well as our two suspensions well, they gave all-in. In the 56th minute they could attack for levelling the score (29-28).
Kohász strengthened their defence when it was really needed, and then Sallai surprised the opponent with a nice move, then Trawczynska scored a 7m-throw, so when only 90 seconds were left on the clock, we finally could believe that we won the game. Especially when Bartók came in as a substitution for the 7m shoot of the visitors, and she showed a brilliant save. With no more goals, ours gained a nice 31-28 victory and moved to the 7th position on the league table.
