DKKA travels to Copenhagen in November
The Danish team Koebenhavn Haandbold will be our oppontent in the next round of EHF Cup.
The European Handball Federation has drawn the 3rd round EHF Cup opponent for Dunaújvárosi Kohász in Vienna this morning. Our team qualified from the second round with an agregate score of 56-51 against CSM Roman (ROU).
The 24 teams participating in this draw were seeded into two pots beforehand. Kohász got into Pot nr. 2, according to which it was sure that we will play against an opponent from Pot nr. 1. The management of our team wished for a possible opponent that can be convenient for DKKA taking into consideration both the total travel time required and the overall strenght of the given team.
Unfortunately neither of the expectations really came true. For the first leg of the clash our team need to cover quite a distance to reach the shores of Denmark as our current opponent, Koebenhavn Haandbold is from the capital Copenhagen. Checking out their latest results winning this clash does not seem to be an easy task for the Kohász girls. Koebenhavn is currently 4th in the league table in Denmark, from 7 matches they won 5, while they lost their other two games. In the second round they got past the French side, Dijon by winning both home and away. (23-32; 28-17). The first leg against our team will take place in Denmark either on the 11th or on the 12th November, while the second one will be organized a week later in Dunaújváros.
