Despite leading by three more goals after the first half, the adult team of our academy suffered a 28-25 defeat in Mosonmagyaróvár.
The adult team of our academy continued the championship fights in the home of Mosonmagyaróvár that resides third on the table, which. The team of Attila Vágó had a good form after the successes against Vasas in the League Cup and Vác in the previous round.
DKKA started the game in a pretty bad way, MKC had a 3-0 run. The next five minutes we managed to do the same. The home team got away by two again, but thanks to Kazai and Ferenczy we chased our opponent (5-5). Our defending got tougher and soon we had a two goal advantage. Babovic helped with nice saves, while Bulath, Szalai and Mihály was efficient during the attacks. Surprisingly 9-12 stayed on the scoreboard at halftime.
The second half promised lots of excitement, as it was known that the home team wants to win. although they started the half with a goal, but Bulath and Kazai hit the net on the other side. Mosonmagyróvár had a period of 4-0 with which they equalized (15-15). In the 40th minute Attila Vágó called a timeout as MKC started to have the upper hand.
In attack more and more mistakes came, and the home team used these efficiently, they gained a comfortable lead (20-17). Kohász did not give it up either, goals from Bulath and Kazai minimized the gap between the teams, then Szalai levelled the game 8 minutes before the final whistle (22-22). The final period of the game went clearly better for the hosts, DKKA players got seemingly tired, so at the end MKC won the clash by three goals.
