„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Calm victory in Budaörs
The team of Dunaújváros played well in attack and won their away match comfortably with 9 goals.
Due to the fact that M4 Sport channel set the match for broadcast, the first team of DKKA had to play their league game midweek, with a special starting time, there are rarely matches on Thursday. They travelled to Budaörs to start the second half of the league. When the two teams met in their autumn match, Kohász gained an easy win. Our management hoped for the same outcome today as well against the opponent that was 9th on the league table before the game, although several players were sick during the beginning of the week due to the intensive flu epidemic in the region.
DKKA's goalkeeper, Viktória Oguntoye started with a nice save and Luca Szekerczés hit the net from our first shot in the clash. The teams continued to score alternately, 1 by the home team, 1 by the away team (5-5). The two sides barely paid attention to the defending, but Budaörs committed more errors in attack, which meant that the teams broke the habit and finally Kohász could get away from its opponent by two goals thanks to Micijevic and Cifra (5-7). Another 1-1 score peroid came, but in the 13th minute Kazai scored and increased the lead to three (7-10). The home team changed their speed and managed to come closer, but it took just a blink of an eye and thanks to the goals of Szekerczés the difference grew further (12-16). For the final minutes of the half Anna Kovács stepped to the court as well, and showed great discipline, even though Kohász were a man down, they managed to put one more between. At halfway the score was 15-20.
After halftime the players of DKKA wanted to decide the game, they quickly scored 3 times in a row. Budaörs did not give it up, but when they found the pivot Dusmáta Takács empty in front of the goal, the difference was already eight goals, it was exactly as big as the number of goals stood next to Camila Micijevic's name on the scoresheet (17-24). It was visible that the hosts played convulsively at this stage of the match, they played with several mistakes both in attack and in defence, at our side however Anna Kovács was a leader for her team, so our supporters could have started to count to ten to prank the home fans (21-31). The last quarter of the game did not bring so much excitement with itself, the players of DKKA slowed down a bit and they did not focus so intensively as the nd of the match was drawing near. The only question remained, whether Budaörs can get a better score difference. Well they could, with a period of 5-1 they came closer, yet Kohász gained an easy win, and they stepped up to the 4th position in the K&H League.
