„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
A fourteen-goal victory
After a close first half a decent victory against Kecskeméti NKSE.
We expected a home win in the Arena today, as we played against Hufbau-Akker Kecskeméti NKSE, which team was second bottom in the league before the match. Besides our players with a long-term injury, Fruzsina Bouti and Orsolya Monori this time we could not count with our goalkeeper Viktória Oguntoye, who also picked up a slight injury during the week, she was replaced in the squad by 18-year-old Ramóna Vártok.
Kecskemét are fighting against relegation, therefore they took the beginning very serious. In front of our goal they showed some really good skills, and with this attitude they surprised our softer defense. Kohász only could get away by two goals from their opponent (5-3, 8-6). Towards the second part of the half we committed several mistakes in attack as well, and that was also punished by the visitors; first they levelled the score, then in the 16th minute they got the lead as well (8-9). They could not cheer too much as Kazai and Klujber scored some quick goals and in ten minutes later we were ahead already by 3 goals (14-11). Kecskemét could once again come closer, but the last two goals came from DKKA, the teams switched sides with a score of 17-13.
A team with a different mentality arrived for the second half. In three mins they scored three goals. Although the opponent also hit the net two times, it seemed that the hosts control the game (20-16). We were great in front of our goal and Ramóna Vártok saved the shoots coming at her goal nicely. In attack Klujber, Kazai and Micijevic took the team forward and with this the difference between the teams started to grow (22-16). Kecskemét could not find the net for ten minutes, which contributed to establishing a 10-goal difference (27-17). All the players got a chance from László György; Csenge Braun scored her first goal among the adults, Zsuzsanna Nagy was efficient from the side and Ramóna Vártok scored a 40-meter goal when the visitors' net was empty. A clear victory at the end with a final score of 34-20, another great step towards finishing 4th in the league this season!
László György: - We are of course happy about the score, but I am especially glad that the youngest ones contributed to today's victory. The first half was not easy at all, Kecskemét fought well, but in the second part of the game we could even add some spice to our play and more important is that we kept both points home.
