„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Defeat on the first game of the season
It is a five goal defeat for the first try in Vác.
We began the season with an away match against GVM Europe Vác. It was not an easy task, as beside meeting a strong team György László could not count with for of her players, Ćamila Mičijević, Monori Orsolya, Erdősi Ildikó and Katarina Tomašević.
We got the first goal by our captain Szalai, but Vác had the counter and after 10 minutes they could get the lead (4-3). Radosavljevic had a good day, in the 15th minute, after she scored her third one, our coach called for a timeout (8-5). Although in attack we could improve our game, our defending still lacked effort. The difference grew to 5 goals (12-7). With the lead of Szalai and Klujber we started coming closer to our opponent and five minutes before we were just one goal behind (13-12). We also managed to equalize, but in the very last second Kácsor made sure that her team leads at the half.
The second part of the game started better for Vác, again they managed to create a three goal difference. Kazai and Ferenczy brought Kohász closer once again (20-19). Unfortunately 2 minute suspensions came in the worst parts of the game, as soon as the opponent sensed our increased efforts, they found another gear, and used this period for their advantage (22-19). At this stage the timeout did not help, we had problems in attack against the strong defense of the hosts, it caused long goalless period for us. Szekerczés Luca broke the bad period, but due to the suspension of Grosch, again Vác could get away (26-21). We needed to play continuously one-man down, yet we could score two in a row which boosted the away supporters (26-23). But unfortunately after some annoying mistakes we lost our chances to turn the game, the home side managed to increase the goal difference between the teams before the final whistle. Next week on Saturday we host Siófok KC at home, we predict that an even more difficult task awaits us.
