„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Painful defeat
Our team was leadung until the last minutes, but at the end was defeated by a single goal by Mosonmagyaróvár KC.
Another important clash awaited our adult team. They wanted to get the points in Mosonmagyaróvár. The locals are in a difficult situation, they need every single points to be sure to maintain their presence in the first league.
The team took a flying start just like in the last round. Csapó Kyra had some early saves and from the counters Kazai, Grosch and Ferenczy managed to score as well. This resulted a time out at the home side (0-4). While MKC found the way into the game, DKKA lost their leader and captain, Szalai Babett after a brutal fault. Since lots of players out have already been causing problems, this did not help the situation. Our girls managed to keep the lead, and when Szekerczés scored her third one, 4-9 stood on the scoreboard. Some mistakes in attack gave the opportunity for the opponent to come closer. György László called a timeout in the 22nd minute (7-10). The hosts and their supporters were on fire, and our defending was not stable, our lead unfortunately dropped to just two goals for the break. (12-14).
DKKA started the second half with a goal, but they could not get use of the 6 minute goalless period of the home team. In the 38th minute MKC was attacking to level the score (14-15). When it was necessary, our players could show some skills, they stopped three attacks in a row and got away from its opponent once again (14-17). Tilinger scored three one after the other which meant that the last 10 minutes started with equal scores (18-18). Szekerczés broke our effortless period, then Bouti hit the net, but two suspensions gave the chance to the hosts to level the score once again. Bizik Réka scored a brilliant goal from the wing and with this Mosonmagyaróvár got the lead for the first time in the match. DKKA could equalize, but unfortunately could not turn the game. Tilinger scored another penalty (her 12th goal on the match) 8 seconds before the final whistle. Mosonmagyaróvár found the receipt of a victory, they lead just once during the match, but it was the best time to be ahead; at the very end.
