„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Into the Final4!
Towards the end of the first half we bruised the opponent and gained a nice ten goal vicory against Békéscsaba. With this score our team got qualified into the best four teams of the Hungarian Cup.
Both teams were victorious in the league at the weekend, Békéscsaba won against Budaörs, we hosted and beat Vác. This time we had a task related to the Hungarian Cup. We knew that we had to win this one, as due to the rules of the cup a draw means that the visitors get into the next stage.
No complaint about the beginning as Grosch and Szekerczés got the lead for Kohász. Although Békéscsaba tried to stay close, but our defending was tough and in attack we managed to find the net. After 11 minutes the visitors' coach called a timeout when 7-3 stayed on the scoreboard. The small break helped the opponent as during two minutes they halved the number of goals between the teams, but Grosch, Kazai and Szekerczés calmed the home supporters with goals. After the save of Csapó Kyra, Kazai scored her third goal, and this resulted again a four goal difference (11-7). György László called a timeout in the 20th minute. To raise the awareness towards the importance of the end of the first half. Our lead decreased to two goals (12-10), but luckily the mistakes ot the opponent were used brilliantly by the home players. In the last six minutes they scored 5 goals in a row that gave us a comfortable lead for the halftime.
The second half brought early suspensions with itself for us, Békéscsaba could attack having with two more players. Yet Kohász kept their lead, and when in the 40th minute, Nick Viktória scored a goal, already 10 goals separated the two sides (25-15). Horváth Roland, the coach of Békéscsaba invited his players to the sideline right after. Kohász defended well, and in attack everybody took her part, Koronczai and Mihály scored too (30-19). Towards the end of the game all our players got the chance to prove themselves, although it was clearly visible that the youth players were a little excited, there were some mistakes, but they could dexterously keep the difference. Kohász got a nice ten goal victory with the score of 35-25 and are in the Final4 of the Hungarian Cup that will take place in Debrecen.
