„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
This time Fehérvár won
For like 40 minutes the chance was there to get points from Székesfehérvár, but the home team was better today and gained a 27-23 victory against the Kohász girls.
Our opponent Alba Fehérvár KC was on the 6th position before the match today, and based on the performance during the last matches the odds were on the favour of the home side.
The first goal was scored by Kohász, and although Boldizsár hit the net two times in a row, in the fifth minute the lead was again taken by us (2-3). Could not be happy for it for a long time, as Fehérvár players netted three, while from our side only Szekerczés managed to do the same. (6-4). Thanks to two quick goal from Kazai and to the saves of Csapó we equalized. Deli Rita, the coach of the opponent team immediately called a timeout. After some errors from both teams Fehérvár managed to get the lead again, but DKKA kept up the pace with the home team. Cifra and then Nick got a two minute suspension and it was well used by FKC, for the 24th minute they got away by 3 goals (12-9). The last minutes were won by Kohász, yet Fehérvár kept 2 goals from their lead for the halftime, we hoped for an exciting second part (14-12).
An improvement in attack and defense was necessary in order to turn the score. Although FKC started the half with a goal, thanks to two 7m throws by Szekerczés Luca we minimalized the difference between the teams. We could even attack to equalize but the chance was missed by Nick (15-14). After ten minutes something happened; Fehérvár had a 6-0 run and we simply could not produce in attack. György László called a timeout when the score was just 20-16, but it does not seem to help either, they could further increase the goal difference. For the 48th minute the match was decided (23-16). From here we could only get a little closer, but the home team kept the lead comfortably and at the end they gained a 4-goal-victory with a final score of 27-23.
