„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Kisvárda could be happy again
In a close match, Kisvárda took the two league points with a 26-24 victory from the Dunaújváros Sports Hall early this evening.
The academy's first team continued their league campaign with a home match against Kisvárda this afternoon at 5 pm, and with only one point separating the two teams in the table, the goal of our handball players could not be anything but to win.
However, the away side started the game with the same hope, quickly equalising after Horváth's goal and then taking the lead in the fifth minute. Our handball players levelled the score twice, but after 3-3 Kisvárda got away by two, and held their one-two lead until the 16th minute, when Udvardi's goal brought the deficit to three for the first time in the match (5-8).
Fortunately, it was not for long, because Farkas' double and Weisheitel's goal brought ours back to the game, and although they had a chance to take the lead, they could not take advantage of it (8-8). The visitors, however, took a two-goal lead again after 9-9, and although it looked like they would go into the break with a lead until the last second, Oguntoye's great long pass was followed by Agócs' goal before the break, making the score 12-12.
After switching the sides, the game changed sonce the visitors once the home team led by one goal each, but neither team could get away from the other. In the 45th minute the score was 18-18, but the continuation was clearly more in Kisvárda's favour, who scored three goals in three minutes to give the home fans a bad time and again got away from our team (18-21).
Weisheitel broke our goalless period in the 49th minute, and after Krupják-Molnár, Agócs and Horváth also scored for DKKA, hopes for getting points were raised (22-23). However, Kisvárda scored the next goal, defending two home attacks, and when Karnik scored his third goal in the 59th minute, the match was unfortunately decided, and Kisvárda, the more accurate team in attack, won 26-24.
