The summer is over, players of DKKA's adult team got back to work as they had a meeting in our arena today from 16.30 to start the training for the next season. Beside the youths having longer rests, Camila Micijevic could not start the training together with the others as she is still recovering after her knee surgery,  also Ferenczy Fruzsina was missing due to a small illness hopefully she will join the rest of the squad later this week.

We could welcome some new faces as well. Croatian Zelena Stojak will be a reinforcement in the goal, Montenegrin Itana Cavlovic strengthens our team in pivot position and of course Triscsuk Krisztina was there too, who returned to our team after 2016, when DKKA won the EHF Cup. At that time Triscsuk was one of the key players during the cup run.

There could be no preparation without a good coach. We asked György László to sum up the programmes of the team for the summer.

- We are a little few at the moment our youths, Koronczai Petra, Jovovity Jovana, Németh Kata and Braun Csenge who won a silver medal with the beach handball national team in Poland are missing. Camila Micijevic could return just in February at earliest, while Ferenczy Fruzsina is joining us a little later due to a small illness. We are now getting to know each other as we have some new faces around. There will be some fitness measurements in the first days, but we will not be too much lazy but of course we will increase the intensity step by step. The players have started their preparation individually two weeks ago.  There is a small change in the summer schedule, our first preparatory match will be one day earlier than previously announced, next week Friday we play against Szombathely. A week later we go to Szekszárd to get acclimatized to the atmosphere, as according to the plans we will play our home matches there. So far we have settled 11 matches, but there might be one more in the programme.

- What do you expect from the new players?

- A little more chance to try out other variations in play both in attack and defense. The routine of Triscsuk Krisztina means a lot, we hope that Itana Cavlovic will be a good replacement for Cifra Anita in defense, while we hope for a better balance in the goalkeeper's position between Csapó Kyra and Zelena Stojak. Also the contribution of youths are important, Braun Csenge returned from her loan at Budaörs, Jovovity Jovana will be a full time member of the adult team, we hope that she will continue improving during the season, she is very talented. Koronczai Petra is just 16, but has been preparing with the adult team last year too.

- What is the most important task of the preparation?

- It is hard to separate the defense from the attack in handball as the two depend on each other. My philosophy is that the defending shall work, from defending we could launch our attacks, counterattacks. It is not an easy job especially considering the fact that we have two new players who need to be part of the new formation. It needs a lot of practice and patience.

- According to the plans they will start the reconstruction of the new sports hall. How will this affect the team?

- We will spend a week in Szekszárd, at our temporary home if the construction starts. Our problem will be with the trainings, it is not an easy task to solve. But in general we are really happy about the concept of our new hall and we will do our best. Of course this concerns not just us, but other teams of Dunaújváros too.

- In such a difficult situation what is the expected result with which the management would be satisfied at the end of the season?

- There are no exact expectation concerning the league position. Of course most of the other teams have also announced their squad for the new season and we will check the results of the friendlies as well, but these still do not mean anything. I truly believe that we could move a little forward from last season's ninth position, our aim is to finish in the middle of the league table. We are sportsmen, of course the goal is to do our best whatever challenge awaits us in each match
