„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Cup winners
DKKA gained the first place in the League Cup with a flawless performance.
The adult team of our academy took part in the second game of the League Cup final, they gained a huge, ten-goal advantage in the first match. The Vágó team hoped for a nice season farewell, for a victory. Before which the team's management greeted the leavinge players; Anastasija Babovic, Sanja Dabevska, Bianka Barján, Fruzsina Ferenczy, Petra Mihály, Dorina Román, Natalie Schatzl and Theodora Moutsogianni.
So Kohász was preparing for a real handball festival, but Kozármisleny didn't want to help with this at all, and the guests started very bravely and successfully, thanks to their excellent performance at the goal, they quickly took the lead. Home coach, Attila Vágó had to call a timeout very early, in the 8th minute (3-5). The short break didn't bring the desired change either, in the 11th minute the Kozármisleny led by three already, and since the attacking game of DKKA just didn't work well. By the 18th minute we still had only six goals scored (6-9). Kohász caught up with Szalai's double, and since the guests started making mistakes, Bulath equalized first, and then our team finally took the lead with another goal from Szalai in the 23rd minute (10-9). In the final minutes of the half, however, the annoying mistakes and missed situations came again, and this was relentlessly taken advantage of by the visiting team, which turned the score and was able to march into the break with a 12-11 lead.
After switching sides, we had to improve mainly on the attacks. Thankfully they found another shift in the gauge and started the second 30 minutes much better. Matucza, Mihály and Bulath quickly turned the tides (14-13). The guests could not do anything with the increasingly tough defense of Dunaújváros at that time, and since we scored an easy goal three times in a row, now the opponent was forced to call a timeout in the 39th minute (17-13). The more than ten-minute silence of the guests was broken by Scheffer, but by then everything was decided, the only question remained the actual difference on the scoreboard. (20-14). The home team certainly kept their advantage for the remaining quarter of an hour, and although the final minutes, when already the youngsters played turned out better for the Kozármisleny, ours finally won the League Cup final with a double victory and altogether with a flawless performance.
