„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
What a victory!
With a brilliant performance in the second half our team turned and won the game against MTK Budapest.
After a longer break the league continued for the adult team of DKKA. Our team hosted the team of MTK Budapest today in the Arena of Dunaújváros - as we got used to it already - on a game behind closed doors. The opponent from the capital city got stronger for this year and they have been having a decent season so far. The odds were not in our favor, we knew that extra performance from the girls are necessary if we want to keep the points home.
Unfortunately the match did not start well for DKKA, excellent shooters of MTK easily found a way to score from distance. The difference grew quickly MTK led even by 5 goals during the second part of the half. Our team managed to get closer for the halftime, the teams switched sides while 15-18 stayed on the scoreboard.
The girls had a much better start in the second half, with the lead of Babett Szalai and Anita Bulath we could reduce our disadvantage. We had 7-2 run between the 40th and the 50th minute with which we turned the game. To make this happen the brilliant saves of our goalkeeper Anastasia Babovic were essential, who simply mesmerized the opponent's great shooters. Luckily our team managed to keep the lead in the final minutes as well, and achieved a fantastic victory against a better team, and moved up on the league table.
