Another defeat

Our team could not keep up a constant good performance throughout the match, which led to a painful defeat.
We looked forward to a key match to our team against Kisvárda, that happened to be ahead of us on the league table. After two defeats it was time to turn the tides.
The match did not start bad for us, 2 goals from two shots. We did not know that it was the treshold of a long goalless period. With a 4-0 run Kisvárda got the lead. Kisvárda could increase their lead with some fast breaks thanks to our former player, Luca Dombi. It led to a timeout by Attila Vágó (9-5). Kazai and Szalai brought us closer, but due to enormous number of errors in attack, KKC easily got away that had another 4-0 run. At halftime 18-11 stayed on the scoreboard.
Huge improvement would have been necessary to get back to the game. They tried it well, scored three in five minutes. In the 40th minute, after Szalai hit the net, the game become exciting again (20-17). The match continued with 3-3 goals from each sides, yet Kohász did not manage to get closer. Another bad period from us decided the outcome of the match (26-20). Ours did not give it up for a second, but despite the good final period, they run out of time. Kisvárda could be really happy with the two points gained. We fell back to the 11th position on the league table.

2023. May. 13.Our handball players put up a good fight even with players missing from the squad, but the capital side kept the championship points at home with a seven-goal win.
Defeat on the Balaton shore
2023. Apr. 29.Our players did not play well neither in attack nor in defence at the home of NEKA, so we finished the Balatonboglár trip without a point.
