„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
We could be hopeful for 15 minutes only
Much more effective in front of both goals, MTK defeated the adult team of our academy by eleven goals, 34-23.
The team of the Dunaújvárosi Kohász Handball Academy continued the fights of the K&H women's handball league with a match against MTK in the capital tonight. Although our meeting between the two teams in Dunaújváros was won by ours on 31-28. The blue-whites were in the fifth place in the table before the game and as head coach Attila Vágó said before the start, in order to achieve a good result in all elements of the game. they must provide the maximum.
There was no complaint about the determination of our handball players, at the beginning of the match they kept pace with the opponent and although in the big rush both ours and the hosts led, after ten minutes the scoreboard was still showing (6-6). The hosts played their usual rushing style, and although ours maneged to equalize to 8-8, at the end of the first quarter the minor mistakes started to come, which were relentlessly exploited by MTK, so Attila Vágó had to call a timeout in the 18th minute (11 -8). Despite the short break, the home team scored the next goal, and although the Kohász once again came back in two, after 13-11 the minutes of the capitals came again, so the parties matched into the dressing rooms with an 18-14 MTK advantage.
After swithching sides our team were trying in vain, they were not efficient enough to close up in front of any goal, so the hosts certainly kept their four-five-goal advantage and even in the 40th minute the opponent stood better with six hits already (24-18). Our nearly ten-minute goalles period was broken by Bulath, but the hosts played more accurately and better than our handball players in the final minutes, and they were even able to increase their lead. They finally kept the league points at home with a smooth 34-23 victory.
