„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Our goalies are staying
Petra Hlogyik and Alexa Wéninger will also be joining the adult team of our academy for the 2021/2022 season.
Another handball players have committed themselves to our adult team for the 2021/2022 season. This time we can announce two goalkeepers, Petra Hlogyik and Alexa Wéninger are also continuing their careers in Dunaújváros. Both Petra and Alexa joined DKKA last year and as they said, they were happy to extend their contract with the team.
Petra Hlogyik: – I was very happy that I managed to sign for Dunaújváros last year and there was absolutely no question for me; if the club wanted to count on me for the next season, I would stay. I was happy when negotiations started, and we agreed on the extension. It is our great virtue that we can play as a real team, and when we have very important and intense matches, we can show our strength as a team, and I am hopeful that soon we will be able to play in front of the supporters soon.
Alexa Wéninger: – I consider it a very good opportunity to stay, so I can continue to improve. I feel like I found harmony with my teammates this year, I also feel good in the locker room, and overall these led to me extending my contract with the team. This season was a bit confusing, unfortunately I also caught the COVID virus during the year, there was a time when unfortunately I couldn’t help the team. At the same time, I always tried to give my best form. Sometimes I was able to show a good performance on the court, but sometimes I could not contribute as much as I could, so in the future I set myself the goal to be as stable a goalkeeper as possible and to be able to help the team as much as possible.
