„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
A victory at the end of the season
The adult team of our academy finished in the eighth place in the championship, after defeating the Érd by 36-33 in the Dunaújváros Sports Hall in the last round.
Attila Vágó's team had to win the final game of the season at home in order to come in 8th place in K&H League. We knew it will not be easy against the side of Érd as even though they are a young team they managed to win against us at autumn time. We started the game well and the coach of the visitors had to call a timeout already in the 7th minute (8-5). This was followe by a worse period from ours, Érd managed to get a 5-0 run and turn the game. Our could get back to the game and thanks to the saves from Hlogyik and the scores of Román and Bulath, they equalized and got the lead once again. At halftime the score was 18-17.
The second half started also better for us, scored three times in four minutes. The opponent did not want to lose the chance to win it either and with quick attacks they minimized their disadvantage (26-25). Thanks to Kitti Szabó Érd had a decent comeback. But the end the rutine players of Kohász could turn the game once again in the 55 minute Érd could attack once again to level the game but since it was not successfull, the final 5 mintues DKKA decided the outcome of the contest as Bulath hit the net for the 9th time, and Wéninger shoved some nice skills at the goal. Team of Vágó Attila won 36-33 at the end.
