The adults won the tournament in Békéscsaba
A six-goal, 29-23 success in the final against Alba FKC.
After yesterday's two-goal victory against Kisvárda, the adult ensemble of our academy in Békéscsaba has started playing for the first place of the Károly Szabó Memorial Tournament. The opponent of our team was the county rival Alba Fehérvár KC, which defeated the hosts by 21-20. Our aim, of course, could be nothing more than to win the tournament. The first half of the clash started much better by the players of Székesfehérvár, but despite the fact they also led 5-2, our team arranged their ranks in time, first caught up with its opponent and then, in the last minutes of the game, turned the score (10-11).
After the break, our handball players managed to advance even further, so after almost ten minutes, the advantage of ours grew to four goals, in the middle of the second half, DKKA played much more accurately and better, led 22-16. The opponent tried to getcloser as the final whistle was drawing near, but the county rival still didn't know how to stop our attacks, so our team confidently maintained its advantage, and finally won the first place in the tournament with a smooth 29-23 victory.
A szép csapatsiker mellett az egyéni elismerésekből is kijutott játékosainknak, akik közül Wéninger Alexa a torna legjobb kapusának díját vehette át az eredményhirdetésen, míg Szalai Babett a torna legjobb játékosának járó díjat hozhatja haza Békéscsabáról. Gratulálunk!
In addition to the nice team success, our players also got out of individual recognitions, of which Alexa Wéninger was able to receive the award for the best goalkeeper, while Babett Szalai can bring home the best player award from Békéscsaba. Congratulations!
