„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
It was fine for 40 minutes...
But a smooth defeat at the end in the home of FTC-RailCargo Hungaria.
The championship fights continued with an away match and although ours considered the meeting primarily as a preparation match, they hoped that they could have a close and liberated game.
The clash started a bit harder by the green-whites of the capital, they scored the first two goals, but our handball players kept their one-two-goal disadvantage with the scores of Horváth, Bulath and Polics (4-3). In th goal Bartulovic made several saves, but there was no complaint against Janurik on the other side, so the difference between the two teams did not change until the middle of the game. Gábor Elek invited his players first to the sideline to give detailed instructions. Although ours still had two attacks to equalize, Fradi scored easy goals after two mistakes, so in the 19th minute Attila Vágó also called a timeout (10-6). The next goal was still scored by ours, but there were unfortunately too many missed chances in attack at this time, so Fradi further increased his advantage and was able to march into the break with a 16-10 lead.
After the turn, the teams took turns to score their goals, but ours confidently took advantage of the weaker start of FTC, they reduced their disadvantage by two in seven minutes, Gábor Elek tried to shake up the performance of his players at 20-16. Unfortunately, the short break helped them, our handball players started making mistakes again, these were all penalized by the host, who successfully accelerated their game, In the 42nd minute Attila Vágó had to interrupt the game once again (23-17). This did not bring the desired change either, after each goals scored by DKKA, two hits were conceded by us, A few minutes later our head coach used his last opportunity to call a timeout (27-19). Approaching the end of the game, the number of errors in Dunaújváros did not decrease, maybe it even increased, ours also had problems with the defending, FTC further increased their advantage, and in the end they kept the championship points at home with a confident success of 39-24.
