„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
A tearful farewell from the league and from Anita Bulath
Our team ended the 2021/2022 league with a one-goal defeat against Kisvárda, and said goodbye to Bulath Anita, who retrires at the end of the season.
Sad season finale
The clash was important not only because of being the last one in Dunaújváros this season, but also because Anita Bulath, who will end her career at the end of the season, said goodbye to the home audience. Prior to the match, the management of our team said goodbye to the players leaving, Jana Sustkova, Dominika Mrmolja, Petra Hlogyik, Gréta Horváth and Tímea Polics, they will continue their careers elsewhere. Also before the meeting, they commemorated Erzsébet Guricsné Pásztor, the team captain of the Hungarian women's handball team who won the 1965 World Championship gold medal, who passed away this week.
The match did not start good for our team (1-3), but soon we could catch up with our opponent. Mistakes from both sides resulted that in the 19th minute just 6-6 stayed on the scoreboard. Before the break Kisvárda once again could get a two goal advantage (9-11).
Nothing really depended on Saskia Weisheitel; He closed the match with 6 goals out of 6 shots.
Primarily in an attack our team had to improve to get the hoped-for two league points, but the start of the second thirty minutes didn't go well either, unfortunately Anita Bulath and Farkas Johanna both missed a seven-meter-shoot. Our handball players still didn’t play perfectly, but they fought huge, catching up with their opponents once again. The teams chased each other all the way, but as the end was near thanks to Farkas already gained the advantage for Kohász, even in the 58th minute our team led 25-24, first Karnik and then Dombi scored an important goal, while our chances were missed on the other side, Bulath Anita stepped on the court to take a free throw 2 seconds before the final whistle, which was blocked by the defenders. This result meant that DKKA finally finished in the ninth place in the league table this year.

Home farewell from the legend
This match will not be memorable for the fans of Dunaújváros because of the result.
After that, Gyula Zsiga, the director of MKSZ's youth development, Csaba Vertig, executive director of DKKA, Attila Gurics, the team manager, Babett Szalai, the team captain of our team, Anita's coach, Katalin Czagler, and coach István Pergel greeted Buli, who then thanked her parents, coaches, teammates, and the fans for all the years together. The management of DKKA not only said goodbye to Anita, but also retired the jersey No. 20 she wore duiring her career in Dunaújváros, so no one can wear this jersey in Dunaújváros in the future. A beautiful, meaningful chapter in Anita's life is over, a huge thank you for it, and of course we are confident that as the professional director of our academy we can spend similarly successful years together.
