„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
A thrilling draw away from home
The adult team of our academy achieved a 26-26 draw with a goal scored in the last second against Alba FKC.
After the home victory against Békéscsaba, a much more difficult match awaited the first team of DKKA in the league.
The match did not start well, the home team quicky gained the lead and got away by 4 goals (6-2). After the timeout from Tamás Rapatyi we managed to stay more focused and with a 3-0 run we were just behind with a single goal. FKC got away once again, yet thanks to the goals of Horváth, Farkas and Matucza we levelled the score, and for the first time on the match we gained the lead too for the halftime.
The second half was started better by the opponent once again. During the suspension of Weisheitel they hit our net 3 times, so another timeout was necessary (14-11). It helped once again to get closer, but a it took just 1-2 missed chances and the difference grew to 4. Oguntoye showed nice saves, while Farkas, Fodor, Horváth and Nick found the home net which meant that DKKA could level the score one more time. Weisheitel was shown a red card for her 3rd suspension, while Katarina Stosic had the same fate 5 minutes later. The teams were neck in neck, it was impossible to predict the outcome. While being one up we got a 2 minute suspension and Alba FKC could first equalize, then they got the lead just 14 seconds before the final whistle. But it was not the last goal as Johanna Farkas birlliant shot saved a point for us. The match ended with a final score of 26-26.
