„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Important points kept at home
In a chaotic game our girls were the better team on the court against MTK.
Recently the two teams played a friendly match in Dunaújváros where the blue-whites could get the upper hand at the end, so they got a two goal victory. We hoped for a different result for today.
It was not a good start for any of the teams, during 8 minutes 2-2 goals were shown on the scoreboard at both sides. Our team got the lead, yet it was followed by a 4-0 run by the opponent. Along came the home timeout by Tamás Rapatyi. It seemed to help as this time we could score 4 in a row and equalize for the 19th minute (7-7).
Now the opponent's coach, Gergő Vida invited his players to the sideline, but this did not break our moment as thanks to the hits of Farkas, Horváth and Borgyos we had a 3 goal lead. MTK came closer, but this time our handballers were extremely careful with the final period of the half; Arany, Kazai, Farkas and Borgyos found the way for the ball into the visitor's net, so we had a nice four-goal-lead for the break (15-11).
Of course we knew that we need to stay focused, but it did not go according to the plans, MTK scored four goals, while ours started the second part of the game with 6-7 missed chances, this resulted that MTK equalised while we were just eight minutes into the half. Borgyos broke our goalless period, but even with a player up the opponent got the lead once again (17-18).
Luckily it was not the last twist of the match, Kohász's attacking play improved a lot thanks to Johanna Farkas coming back from the bench, we quickly levelled the game and added three further goals to the scoresheet (22-19). A tough ten minutes awaited our team. At 23-21 both teams made several mistakes, but it helped us and it was a relief when Rebeka Arany scored in the 56th minute. Despite the suspension of Panna Borgyos for the final minutes, the very imoportant hit of Krupják-Molnár decided the fate of the two points.DKKA won 25-23 in a chaotic game.
