„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Lots of goals and a defeat
Despite the thirty-one goals scored, the adult team of our academy had no chance for a close match in the league against Mosonmagyaróvár.
In Mosonmagyaróvár, the adult team of our academy continued the league from six o'clock this evening, and although the task awaiting us was not easy, the goal was, of course, to get points against MKC that was still flawless at home.
The start, however, was a serious warning, because even though Kohász tied the match at 2-2, in the continuation, the hosts found another shift in the gear and scored consecutive fast break goals to make it 6-2, so Tamás Rapatyi had to invite his players very early. After the short break, the situation did not improve quite much, we were also annoyed by turnovers and missed seven-meter shot. Since the defense did not stabilize, the scoreboard showed a 10-4 home advantage in the 11th minute. Although the five-to-six-goal difference between the two teams got stabilized, the hosts played much more accurately towards the end of the half. We managed to get a little closer for the end of the first 30 mins, but a huge improvement was needed to get our hopes back (22-14).
Yet the expected and desired change did not happen, neither in attack nor in defense could we bring the level that we expect from ourselves, and this was used mercilessly by the hosts, who already scored their thirtieth goal in the 39th minute, and since in the continuation they were much sharper, when DKKA’s coach called the second timeout in the 47th minute, at that point, the only question remained the difference between the teams (35-22). Even though our team fought and was eager, they still committed a lot of mistakes. Since they did not manage to come closer to the hosts, the match ended with a simple defeat of 44-31 for us.
