Eliminated from the Cup
The adult team of our academy was able to keep pace with the host team DVSC for just twenty minutes in the fourth round of the Hungarian Cup.
The adult team of our academy played in Debrecen, in the fourth round of the Hungarian Cup, from five o'clock this afternoon, and according to the rules of the series, they should have achieved at least a draw in order to get to the next round.
It was a good start for us, but in the 5th minute at 3-4, Panna Borgyos injured her elbow, thus she coud not stay on the court. The teams were neck in neck. Until the 15th minute it was a close game, but then the home side created a 3-0 run. Our team could come back to minus two, but then something happened with us, not for the first time this season; DVSC scored their goals in a row and led 20-13 at halftime.
We started the second half with two great strikes, but the opponent quickly managed to find the net before we could come closer, and another bad period kind of decided the outcome (26-17). Even after the short break our team seemed puzzled in attack and for the 50th minute it was clear, that it is going to be another painful defeat (32-18). Not much excitement remained for the rest iof the game, the opponent showed a merciless performace and got a clear victory, with which they got qualified into the next round of the Hungarian Cup.
