„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Victorious farewell from the year 2023
Thanks to an excellent second-half-performance our team gained a comfortable win against Kozármisleny.
Our team played their last league match of the year away at the home of Kozármisleny tonight. Although the task was not easy against the highly motivated hosts, the goal was to get two points.
Definitely the hosts had the same plan and they started the match in that spirit; they led 3-1 in the third minute, but thanks to Szalai and Krupják-Molná we quickly equalised. During a double suspension the home team got back the lead, at 5-5 we levelled once again, but Kozármisleny got away with a 3-0 run, resulted a timeout from our coaches.
The teams were neck in neck, but another period resulted that Kozármisleny had a three-goal advantage again, which led to another timeout. It had its effect on the game, as DKKA got closer its opponent, but at 14-11 we could start over our project to vanish the gap between the teams. Luckily we were up to the task and with good final moments in the half we equalized the score for the halftime (15-15).
In the second part of the game we finally got the upper hand with the goal of Krupják-Molnár and despite the hosts had an answer to our goals, thanks againt to "Kicsi" and to "Borgyi" we lead by to for the first time (18-20). A home timeout was spot on, but our handballars kept their advantage while being down with two players on the court, after hits from Borgyos and Horváth we led by four in the 48th min.
Kozármisleny did not give it up for a sec, but despite halving the goal difference between the teams, Bouti, Szalai and Gajdos found the net, and since only 5 minutes were left a big turn would be needed for the blue-whites (26-30). Our Academists fought well they widened the gap and got a well-deserved victory with a final score of 32-26.
