„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
A Nice win next door
On the clash of the two regional rivals DKKA managed to win the away match by one goal.
After winning against GVM Europe-Vác last week the first team of our academy continued the run in Székesfehérvár against Alba Fehérvár KC. The opponent was 9th on the league table before the match, but it is never easy to get two points from them. László György wanted tough defending and targeted tactics in attack.
The home team had a better start, the players of DKKA could not come up with efficient finishing, from the first four goals of the game 3 was scored by Fehérvár KC, they were leading 3-1. Our supporters needed to wait for 8 minutes to get a second one in. The girls started to stay more focused in defending and Katarina Tomasevic came up with some nice saves too. First the goals of Szalai and Szekercés levelled the game and in the 17th minute Szekerczés put already Kohász forward (6-7)
A two minutes suspension for Anita Cifra did not put us back, on the contrary we could increase our lead, but yet other suspensions came that helped the opponent to equalize (11-11). Fehérvár KC could have easily gained the lead before halftime, but after a counter attack in the last seconds Luca Dombi scored for Kohász.
The second half started better for our team. Szekerczés scoreed another two goals and for the first time the difference between the team grew to three goals (11-14). Quite early in the game, in the 35th minute Kohász lost its pillar in defence, Anita Cifra got her third suspension which immeadiately meant a red card. Fehérvár thanked the advantage and came closer. In five minutes they levelled the game once again (15-15). Although Szekercés put us ahed of our opponent, it was visible that our defence is not working so well, like before. With the goals of Pelczéder and Mendy Fehérvár was leading again (17-16).
Not for a long time. Monori and Kazai turned the score again but during another suspension FKC could keep up with us. In the 50th minute still it was impossible to predict the outcome of the match (20-20). Kohász managed to replace Cifra and had a well-working back 6, while in attack Monori lead our team at this time. With some remarkable shots Kohász gained a two goal advantage yet again, but Szabina Mayer hit the net on the other side. Then our goalscorer, Monori got an immediate red card after a fault on the opponents French player, Mendy. Debatable decision. Fehérvár could attack to get a draw, but they missed their last chance. With this victory after the first 13 matches in the league DKKA regained the 4th place on the table.
