„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Another two points in our pocket
Our first team came up with a decent defending most of the time during the game and got a nice away win against Vasas SC.
Vasas stood in the second last position before the match today. Even though DKKA had the odds, but they should not give a cold shoulder at all. During the first 5 minutes our team did not concede any goals yet they have scored three thanks to Dombi, Micijevic and Szekerczés. Then a little step-back occurred and the opponent could get just one behind. Both sides committed several mistakes in attack at this stage. Finally Micijevic and then Klujber could hit the net so in the 12th minute Kohász were leading by three again (2-5).
Through halfway in the first period we could improve our attack which meant that the goal diference between the teams expanded. From our side Kazai, Klujber, Cifra scored, and although the home coach, Péter Kovács called a timeout, it seemed it was in vain as Kohász managed to score again and again. In the 24th minute 12-2 stood on the scorboard. Vasas scored their third goal only five minutes before halftime. And even though they put another behind our goalkeeper, Viktória Oguntoye it did not help them out. Kohász had the lead of 16-4 after 30 minutes.
After the break the home team scored first, but they immediately got three other goals on the other side. While having such a big goal difference the defence started lacking enough focus. The home team for the first time in the match could even score two goals in a row (21-10). László György coach asked the girls to stay concentrated and his instructions worked as now Kohász started to hit the net one by one; after having a lead of 24-11 in the 45th minute, during five minutes the goal difference quickly grew to nineteen (30-11).
In the final stage only the goal difference was in question. The away team seemingly wanted to avoid having more than 20 goals between the parties. In the 58th minute, after the fourth goal of Anna Kovács the score was 15-35, but Vasas managed to win the last two minutes by one goal, which meant a final score of 17-36. Still it is a knockout victory for DKKA. Congratulations, Ladies!
