„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Close contest but a defeat
It was a match full with twists and turns, but the visitors could be happier at the end as they won by one goal.
DKKA had a nice run, as they have won their last 4 league games. This time they hosted Debreceni VSC who have several good and experienced players in their squad. Only one point divided the two teams on the league table, so we expected a close contest.
We could not complain about the begnning. Not just in attack, but in defense we worked well, and if it was needed, our last bastion, Csapó Kyra was there as well. Szekerczés scored two penalties, and Ferenczy had some nice moments. After 9 minutes 5-0 stayed on the scoreboard. Lotte Grigel broke the ice at the visitors, also Tóvizi hit the net, but we did have a counter all the time. Thanks to Grosch and Kazai we was leading 9-4. Until the 21st minute we kept our lead, but then the game changed, Oguntoye Viktória was replaced by Triffa Ágnes in the goal of DVSC and she showed an extraordinary performance, saved the shots one after the other. The visitors had a 5-0 run, and levelled the score before the half-time.
The momentum of Debrecen was not broken by the pause, as they managed to get away by 3 goals during the first ten minutes in the second half. Unfortunately Triffa and Despotovic also kept their form, so György László needed to call a timeout. (15-18). Luckily he gave some good advices, the defense started to work again and in the goal Csapó Kyra also stopped some shots. On the other side our young talent, Mihály Petra hit the net and Kazai managed to equalize (20-20). Mihály was flawless, in the 47th minute Kohász was closer to the victory, but two missed shots was enough to the opponent to get the lead once again (22-23). Although our team missed a 7m-shot while being two goals down, after Mihály scored again, the chance was there to come back. Unfortunately Loki killed the time successfully, basically they could remain in attack for 1,5 minutes and this decided the fate of the two points, Kohász did not have time to counter. Although our team fought well today, remained without points.
György László: - It was a tough game against a good opponent. We could not grasp our moments when it would have been necessary. I feel sad about the match I feel like that we deserved at least a draw.
