„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Another FTC victory against us
Despite the good first half from our team, Ferencváros used their chances better in the second one which resulted a comfortable ten-goal victory for them.
K&H League continued for us with the match against FTC. The odds were on the favour of the hosts, also injuries still causing us hard times nowadays as it seems that on the midweek game against Kisvárda Camila Micijevic suffered again a serious injury, right after she successfully returned from her previous one that kept her away from playing for 8 months.
We started the game good, got the lead three times, although Fradi managed to level the game each time. They got the lead in the 8th minute for the first time and György László even called a timeout as some of our attacks ended with a mistake (5-3). Kohász kept up the pace with the green-whites and used any errors in play committed by FTC and when Ferenczy Fruzsina scored a 30m goal for empty net, Elek Gábor also invited his ones to the sideline (7-7).
The break worked for the hosts as well, they toughened their defense, while on the other side Klujber, who joined FTC from DKKA in the winter, scored two 7m throws. Monori broke our goalless period, then Szekerczés struck first after a nice play, then from the penalty line, was turning the game once again for Kohász (9-10). We could not lean back comfortably, the match continued with a goal from Nerea Pena who was unstoppable, and with two two-minute-suspensions from us. During this time Faluvégi and Klujber both scored, but the half ended with a Sirián goal from pivot position (14-13).
The second half was started better for the home team, they were simply flawless in attack. We found the net two times as well, but in the 36th minute FTC was leading by three already (18-15). It was a bad period for DKKA, the opponent’s goalkeeper, Szikora Melinda started to show some nice saves. György László called his second timeout as the difference between the teams started to grow (19-15). We managed to get a little closer, but Fradi answered with a 4-0 run, in the 44th minute our coach tried to give a break to his players for the third time. (24-17). This did not seem to help as in attack we were unable to produce. The only question remained the actual goal difference. FTC could increase their lead and won the game by 35-25 against DKKA that simply could not keep up the pace with the hosts in the second half.
