„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
DKKA got into the next round
In a close contest, but leadig throughout most of the game DKKA won 31-29 in the third round of the Hungarian Cup against Mosonmagyaróvár.
One game decided about who is going to qualify to the next round in the Hungarian Cup. Our adult team recently won against our current opponent at home in the league, but in Mosonmagyaróvár it was certain that it will not be easy for the Girls.
No girlish attitude from neither of the side was expected. Cavlovic got a suspension after two minutes already. Even with a player down we were efficient and forced MKC to chase us. Tilinger scored all the home goals in the first 10 minutes on the other side Stojak showed some nice saves (3-4). Triscsuk was very efficient from Kohász, by the 15th minute she already hit the net 5 times. The home coach needed to call a timeout (7-8).
Thanks to the timeout and Grosch's suspension first the hosts could equalize, then they even got the lead. In the 22nd minute György László put his green paper marked with the letter 'T' on the jury's desk (10-9). With a 3-0 run DKKA got the lead again, but then again a suspension gave an opportunity to MKC to catch up with the visitors, yet again Grosch and Sirián put our team forward (13-15).
In just 4 minutes the team of Bognár Róbert managed to level the score in the beginning of the second half (17-17). In the 38th minute we got our fifth suspension, but thanks to the nice saves from our goalkeeper and to Szalai's leadership we got back the lead, and when Szekerczés released a strike, Kohász was already 2 ahead (20-22). Mosonmagyaróvár did not seem to give it up for a second and a few minutes later the teams were neck in neck again (24-24).
The game continued with another guest timeout, and although we managed to lead by one or two, the hosts managed to equalize right after (26-26). Bognár coach used his timeout, but instead of levelling the score, Grosch was remorseless (26-28). During Nick's suspension MKC got closer, but there was always somebody from the red-white side who had the counter. When Hudák failed to score when she was only to beat our substitute keeper, Csapó, two minutes before the final whistle, the girls already knew that they won the game (28-30). Szalai crowned her performance, and although Lancz's ball found its way to the net, Kohász got a nice 31-29 win and they are waiting for the next opponent in the Hungarian Cup.
