„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Newcomers have been announced
It was known that our adult squad for the next season will be quite different from the one that we had this season. It become clear, that seven players are definitely joining us.
During the previous weeks most of the news were about players leaving our club, but the management of DKKA was working hard in the background to strengthen the team for the season 2020/2021. A little more than a month ago the owner, the local municipality of the town Dunaújváros promised that they will come back with names soon, to keep their promise, they called a press-conference for today.
Barta Endre, vice-mayor started it with a fact that in general this is no time for happiness thanks to the situation in the world, but they decided to make the announcements towards the supporters, because they feel now they again have good news towards the supporters of the club. Gurics Attila, manager continued with introducing the changes in the squad. He started with the leavers, eight players' contract run out and they decided not to extend it, while in one case it was cancellation of a contract by mutual agreement. According to the above Bouti Fruzsina, Itana Cavlovic, Csapó Kyra, Grosch Vivien, Camila Micijevic, Sirián Szederke, Zeljana Stojak, Szekerczés Luca and Triscsuk Krisztina will leave the club. While back in March our team has just 4 players with a contract, another 5 players decided to extend their stay in Dunaújváros, namely Ferenczy Fruzsina, Molnár Beatrix, Nick Viktória, Jovovity Jovana and the young goalkeeper. The list of newly signed handballers is not short either, DKKA can count with the contribution of Anastasia Babovic (former club: ZRK Buducnost Podgorica), Barján Bianka (Békéscsabai ENKSE), Debreczeni-Klivinyi Kinga (FTC), Román Dorina (Orosházi NKSE), Schatzl Natalie (Érd Handball), Sziráki Boglárka (Szent István SE), also on Wéninger Alexa (Orosházi NKSE) in the upcoming season.
We could learn that the squad of the adult team is 90% complete at the moment, they expect to sign 2-3 more players, but the current roster shall be enough to start the preparation, which they intend to do from the 1st July. The new professional staff wants to put even more emphasis on giving more opportunities to talented youngsters of the Academy to develop themselves. Although Vágó Attila, head coach of the adult team and Szalai Babett could not be present on the press-conference, they both sent a quick audio message to the fans.
Vágó Attila expressed that a complex squad will be available for him that consist of experienced players, but still it is full with talented youngsters that may have a bright future. Strenght of this team could be a strict defending and quick counter attacks. He thanked the work of György László and Imre Vilmos they gave stability to the girls, and since some of the players remains here, he wants to continue the good work of them extended by a few of his own methods. The Academy system has lots of potential, and since he worked for 12 years with young players, it is a priority for him. He hopes the girls will accept and adopt his attitude towards hard work as professionalism will be key. He understands that nobody can predict the exact start of the next season, but he wants a fighting and uncompromising, but a loveable community with members who'd go through fire and flames for the team Finally he thanked the work of the management for providing such support in the current circumstances.
Szalai Babett is really sad that the commmon work for the season ended quickly, she misses handball and her daily routine. They receive daily/weekly tasks from coaches that they can do at home, but it cannot be compared with the regular handball trainings. Of course she thinks of the upcoming season, and also hopes it will not be delayed. According to her a positive attitude can help much these days, she thanked the fans that supported the team even though playing in Szekszárd last season for the love and energy they gave to the team from the stands. She hopes that the supporters will stand with them in the future as well.
The press-conference ended with the words of Barta Endre, he highlighted that the work is not over yet, the negotiation with a potential main sponsor is going well and he hopes that in the next such event, he can already welcome another person next to himself and announce a cooperation that clearly shows the effort that everybody is putting into the concept of having a great team, a great academy with a stable background in Dunaújváros for many many more years.
