„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Big fight, but finally defeat against Fradi
For 45 mins the team kept up with theit opponent, but Fradi finally took the league points from Dunaújváros with a 33-27 victory.
One of the favourites for the title, Ferencváros visited us this afternoon at 5pm. Fradi opened the scoring, but our team managed to answer their first three goals (3-3). Then came a small dip in our team's play, the green and white team completed three attacks in a row, but the academy team refused to give up, and goals from Szalai, Horváth and Nick kept the difference between the two teams (7-10).
In the fast pace it was expected that Fradi would start to make mistakes, and the very brave Kohász took advantage of this, as they came closer and closer to their opponent, and then equalized with Horváth's great cross in the 23rd minute (12-12). Gábor Elek immediately called for a time-out, but the academy players, who continued to play with great determination and luckily with good results, kept on chasing their rivals, Kazai, Farkas and Poczetnyik scored great goals, so that the 28th minute the teams were level. The final minutes did go better for the Budapest team, because Kukely scored twice, so the they could go to the break with a two-goal lead (16-18).
Due to Nick's, to put it mildly, opinionated suspension, Kohász started with a player down, and despite Szalai scored the first goal, Fradi answered with two hits, wihile both the ours and the green-whites missed their 7m throws (17-20). The rest of the game brought more mistakes and missed chances on both sides, but Gábor Elek could be more satisfied with the result, and managed to get a four-goal advantage (18-22). Despite the great fight, after 20-23 our handball players had a goalless period, they missed a chance and gave away an easy ball, so at 20-25 Tamás Rapatyi had to call a time-out in the 45th minute.
A rövid pauza alatt sikerült is rendezni a sorokat, Poczetnyik és Arany is betalált a második félidőre feljavuló Januriknak sőt, támadhattunk a mínusz kettőért is, ám Farkasnál támadó szabálytalanságot láttak a játékvezetők… A Fradi ráadásul ismét jobban bírta a játékrész hajráját, egyre könnyebben játszotta át a dunaújvárosi védelmet, s az 54. percre végleg eldöntötte a pontok sorsát (24-30). Rapatyi Tamás lehetőséget adott Gajdos Petrának is, aki nemrég ünnepelte 18. születésnapját. Fiatal játékosunk bátran játszott, egy pillanatig sem illetődött meg, melynek köszönhetően idei első felnőtt bajnokiján góllal mutatkozott be. Ennek, illetve a Kohász közel háromnegyed órás kiváló helytállásának természetesen örülhettünk, de a két bajnoki pontot ezzel együtt is a Fradi vitte haza 33-27-es győzelmével.
During the short pause we managed to get organized, Poczetnyik and Arany scored for Janurik, who improved in the second half, and we could even attack for minus two, but the referees saw an offensive foul on Farkas. Fradi also managed to get the upper hand in the final part of the game, so they played through the Dunaújváros defence more and more easily. Fpr the 54th minute the game was decided. Tamás Rapatyi also gave a chance to Petra Gajdos, who recently celebrated her 18th birthday. Our young player played with courage and never faltered, scoring a goal in her first senior match of the year. This, and Kohász's excellent performance for almost 45 minutes, was of course a welcome sight, yet Fradi managed to take home the two league points with a 33-27 victory.
