„ACÉL A SZÍV!”
Away victory in Budaörs
We didn't catch a good day, so the adult team of our academy had no chance to score points in the championship against Vác.
Playing in "home" field, the adult team of our academy had a league game against Vác this afternoon in Budaörs, in the hope that after the defeat in Mosonmagyaróvár, they will manage to surprise the "guests" who are composed of good forces, but this year are more dewy than expected, with a disciplined and good game.
The teams did not waste much time at the beginning of the clash, and although our handball players were able to equalize at 2-2, the team from Vác went ahead by two during Trawczynska's exhibition, they already led 6-3 in the 11th minute. Our players tried to keep up with their opponents with the goals of Lakatos and Agócs, but Vác increased their advantage with three more goals in the middle of the half, so Tamás Rapatyi had to call atimeout in the 17th minute (6-11). After the short break, our players continued with two more missed shots, breaking their goalless period only at minus six, and then they went up to three thanks to Szalai, Agócs and Trawczynska (11-14), but Vác was the most accurate in the final part of the half, with a 3-1 run they increased their lead to five again, so our opponent could have been more satisfied by the time of the break (12-17).
After the turn, improvement was needed in all elements of the game in order to collect points, but unfortunately the second act did not go as ours would have liked. Three of the first four goals were scored by the Vác, and in the 17th minute the visiting team was again ahead by six (14-20). In addition, our handball players were spectacularly stuck at that point, and remained scoreless for eight minutes, and despite the management timeout, the fate of the points was decided in the 44th minute (14-25). The last quarter of an hour was no longer exciting, and even though we managed to get back below ten once, Vác was again the most accurate in the first half, which finally took the points away from the capital with a 35-21 success.
