DKKA launched a protest after midweek match
Our team officially complained at the Hungarian Handball Federation concerning a mathch-influencing decision after the match against Mosonmagyaróvári KC.
The protest is concerning the happenings in the last few seconds of the game that was played on 23rd January in the K&H League. Imre Vilmos, sports director explained the following related to the case:
- The reason of our comlaint is that at 59:39 on the clock, while 22-22 stayed on the scoreboard the coach of the home team unquestionably put the green sheet used to indicate timeout on the desk of the jury. With this he used the third timeout opportunity of his team. The officials of the game did not pause the game immediately, in fact the intention for calling a timeout was ignored. As a result, the attack of the opponent team continued and the two referees blew the whistle after a fault, they gave a 7m-throw to Mosonmagyaróvár, and a two-minute-suspension to our player. According to our opinion this negligance from the match officials at this stage of the game affected the outcome of the match. This is the reason why we decided to ask the opinion of the Hungarian Handball Federation (MKSZ).
